My theory for the TV show LOST

As of today I change it every couple of episodes. :D

The Island is an ancient island. On it there is a huge amount of magnetite. Perhaps one huge part that jets out. The Black Rock, the ship, was named after this rock on the island years ago. The real magnetite Black Rock gives the island it's “powers”. There are natives and they belong to an ancient cult that worships the island Spirit. They are waiting for a savior or prophet.

Because of this huge magnetite on the island, the Hanso Foundation decided it would be the best place to do it's research involving electromagnetic energy. They are an independent group of scientists who intended to save the world. They needed to use this island because it could be rendered invisible through electromagnetic energy. But they never realized that the island itself may object to being used this way. The island instigated “the incident” which basically ruined Dharma's initiative. Because word of the experiment could not get out the scientists were not brought back to “civilization” after the failure. But the Hanso Foundation food drops continued.

Henry Gale and his bunch were working for Dharma. But because of everything that happened they became disillusioned with science. So they eventually learned to live off the land and over time joined the native cult. The person they have referred to up to this point as “Him” is the prophet the natives are waiting for. They have learned to harness the powers of the island the way Dharma meant to harness the powers of electromagnetic energy. They intend to carry on their mission in this way. That's why it is important for them to separate the “good” guys from the “bad” guys. If the bad guys learned to use this power it could be catastrophic for mankind. They intend to use it to save it.

Danielle's team joined the cult. When they tried to convert her, their religious gobbledeeguk made her think that they were insane. So she killed them all.
