This is something that makes no sense to me. Why do people get involved in activity that doesn't seem to have any promise of something good happening. I've seen all the TV programs that show that you either wind up dead or in jail or both. Haven't they?
Apparently where I live there are gangs. Serious ones and it seems that no one has really been paying attention to that fact. The reason this has been brought to my attention is that one delinquent shot another delinquent dead. A few days later the first delinquent's mom was killed in an apparent revenge killing. That goes beyond not making sense.
But I can't understand how whatever lifestyle these people live seems important enough for this to happen. Who thinks some turf war or grudge or whatever is worth that? Of course you'd think drugs must be at the center of this, right? But yeah, so? People have been on drugs forever. What is making this batch of drug users so insane? I mean the worst you used to get was people who thought they could fly and they only wound up killing themselves. What gives? What makes this idiotic lifestyle so tempting? And why do they think it's so important? It's all a fantasy. A fantasy family. A fantasy society. Fantasy feuds that they're making a reality. A ridiculous reality that decent people have to deal with now.
